Alturas engages Kallpa Securities SAB as its Sponsor in Lima
 

Toronto, 25 August 2010 – Alturas Minerals Corp. (the “Company” or “Alturas”) (TSX-V, BVL: ALT) today announced that Kallpa Securities SAB S.A. (“Kallpa”) has been appointed as the Company's sponsor for the Lima Stock Exchange (BVL).

Kallpa is a Peruvian corporation dedicated to equity and fixed income sales & trading and investment banking in general. Kallpa's CEO, Mr. Alberto Arispe has 16 years of experience in the international financial system and holds a MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a Bachelor of Economics degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru.

Agreement and Compensation

Alturas has engaged the sponsor as its sole and exclusive advisor for the Peruvian market, providing services required by the Lima Stock Exchange (“BVL”) and any other regulatory entities to duly fulfill activities included in Article 20 of the Lima Stock Exchange regulation and established on the Regulations for the Venture Capital Segment of the Lima Stock Exchange. The Agreement became effective 21 July 2010 and will be renewed for yearly periods unless any of the parties decides to terminate the contract given a 30 day prior written notice. The Agreement provides that the Company, through its wholly owned Peruvian subsidiary, will pay Kallpa an annual fee of US$10,000 plus applicable taxes.
